This year (2011) is the 50th anniversary of the Oxford Gallery in Rochester, New York.  And every year the gallery owner, Jim Hall has an invitational themed show.  Last year’s was “Fiat Lux”.  The year before that was “Nocturn”.  To celebrate the gallery’s 50th anniversary, this year’s theme is “Traditions”.  The subject of my painting for the show is wedding traditions (something old, something new, etc).  I don’t have long to finish this (even though I’ve had a year to work on it!).  I hope to document the progress of this piece, from underdrawing to finished painting.  Wish me luck!
